On 1 March 2022, the auditing and advisory company, Warth & Klein Grant Thornton AG, will be renamed Grant Thornton AG. The company was founded in 1958 and joined the Grant Thornton network in 2001; several mergers over the past years subsequently followed. This rebranding is just the next logical step in the company's growth strategy.
A sign to international SMEs
German SMEs are becoming increasingly active in a globally connected world. This means that their auditors and advisers have to be able to provide reliable support for projects in all the world's important markets. As the German member firm of the global Grant Thornton network, this has been one of the strong points of Warth & Klein Grant Thornton for over 20 years. "We are now focusing even more on the internationally operative SMEs: A clear indication of this will be the rebranding in spring 2022 when Warth & Klein Grant Thornton will also become Grant Thornton in Germany," explains Michael Häger, CEO of Warth & Klein Grant Thornton.
Further expansion under a new brand
Under the new brand, Grant Thornton remains committed to organic market growth but also intends to continue its focus on strategic integration of new teams in key economic hubs throughout Germany - a practice which has been instrumental in the firm becoming one of the leading audit and advisory providers in the country.
