Grant Thornton advises TÜV Rheinland on the takeover of movement24 GmbH

As part of a strategic takeover, TÜV Rheinland Leben und Gesundheit GmbH, a company of TÜV Rheinland AG, acquired movement24 GmbH, based in Munich, with effect from 1 July 2026. By taking over movement24, the TÜV Rheinland is further expanding its portfolio in the area of health and, at the same time, strengthening its regional presence in southern Germany.
An interdisciplinary team from Grant Thornton Germany, led by the Partners Axel Wagner (tax) and Justus Quack (financial advisory), supported TÜV Rheinland throughout the entire transaction. The services included a Financial and Tax Due Diligence, as well as comprehensive support on tax and financial matters in connection with the transaction; this also included advice on the SPA negotiations.
TÜV Rheinland Group, based in Cologne, is one of the world's leading testing service providers and one of Germany's largest providers of services in occupational health and safety and occupational medicine.
movement24 GmbH, based in Munich, is an established provider of corporate health management (BGM) and workplace health promotion (BGF) services. Its portfolio comprises the design of healthy working environments through BGM strategies and analyses, team development with a focus on healthy leadership and an appreciative working culture, as well as individual health promotion via health days, campaigns, online platforms and workshops.
