Ceramic powder manufacturer Industriekeramik Hochrhein GmbH joins Turkish family group Nurol Holding

The Turkish company Nurol Teknoloji has acquired Industriekeramik Hochrhein GmbH (IKH GmbH), a manufacturer of innovative ceramic powders for use in the textile, industrial and defence sectors as well as the pharmaceutical industry, biomedical engineering and furnace construction.
The German subsidiary Nurol Technology Germany GmbH was comprehensively advised during the transaction by an interdisciplinary team of experts from Grant Thornton, drawn from the fields of financial advisory, tax and legal. Their advice included financial, tax and legal due diligence, assistance through the process, drafting the contracts, negotiations, and well as completing the transaction.
The buyers are a German purchasing company belonging to Nurol Teknoloji Sanayi ve Madencilik Tricaret A.S. based in Ankara, Turkey. Nurol Teknoloji is a subgroup of the Turkish family-held stock corporation Nurol Holding A.S. and develops and produces ballistic powders for the production of ballistic ceramics and protective equipment.
The seller is Marco Reinger from Lauchringen in Baden-Württemberg, who built the company over the past 28 years, originally with his father and brother. Now the sole shareholder, Reinger today transferred IKH GmbH to the Nurol Group, which has sales revenue of around four billion euros, to be able to exploit the potential for growth in collaborating with the buyers more quickly.
