Frankfurt, 20. April 2023

  • Expansion of technology partnership with Relativity
  • Clients benefit from innovative cloud solution for multinational litigation, internal investigations and regulatory compliance
  • Grant Thornton positions itself as a pioneer in eDiscovery consulting in its competitive field

Grant Thornton in Germany today announced it is expanding the firm’s global eDiscovery offering with the addition of Relativity`s SaaS product RelativityOne. The forensics experts at the audit and consulting firm have used Relativity and other tools to conduct forensic investigations on behalf of clients for several years. With RelativityOne, Grant Thornton can better assist clients with multinational litigation cases, internal investigations and regulatory compliance matters. Additionally, RelativityOne will empower Grant Thornton to innovate faster with a flexible and extensible cloud product that provides an intuitive user experience backed by the power of automation and integrated artificial intelligence.

"RelativityOne offers our clients an efficient and effective way to move to the cloud, even for the highly sensitive eDiscovery matters. This particularly benefits teams in cross-border cases," said Dr. Florian Scheriau, Partner at Grant Thornton and Head of Cyber Security.

RelativityOne offers many advantages, including the added scalability needed in today’s data-centric society. RelativityOne also gives Grant Thornton’s users the flexibility to pick and choose solutions from the Relativity App Hub that best suits their unique workflows and solve data challenges outside of eDiscovery. Additional advantages include regular product updates and integration with other cloud products, with the data remaining in Germany. RelativityOne is data protection compliant and meets internationally recognized standards and security certifications against cyber threats. RelativityOne holds an ISO 27001 certification and is secure from the ground up with proactive threat intelligence and 24/7 monitoring.

Providing access to the cloud product, Grant Thornton positions itself as a pioneer and visionary in the field of eDiscovery in its sector and expands its portfolio of innovative tools in the overall context of litigation support services: "Acquiring, processing and reviewing data during eDiscovery projects requires fast action with compatible tools in a secure environment. With RelativityOne, we now have the optimal solution for these requirements and can thus offer clients worldwide innovative support in the field of eDiscovery," adds Dr. Scheriau.

“After many years of partnership, it is exciting to see Grant Thornton Germany transition to the cloud and offer RelativityOne in a market where it’s critical that companies keep their data within the country,” said Steve Couling, Relativity’s Managing Director and VP of Sales, EMEA. “The firm’s Germany-based customers can now take advantage of RelativityOne to solve new challenges with AI and simplify data management during a time when data continues to accumulate, and global data privacy regulations consistently evolve.”

The experts at Grant Thornton have specialized in the use of RelativityOne as the organization is a RelativityOne Certified Partner. This allows them to offer clients easy-to-understand dashboards, AI-based document and contract reviews, custom analytics, and a range of time-saving automation options such as translation and redactions.
