James Murphy - Chartered Accountant
James Murphy joined Grant Thornton as a partner in 2026 after over 25 years’ experience with two Big Four firms in both London and Munich. He advises on all aspects of financial due diligence including buy- and sell-side projects as well as advising on SPAs.
His clients include large corporates and private equity investors as well as smaller mid-sized business in Germany. He has extensive experience in advising on cross border transactions, particularly with regard to China and the USA.
He has broad industry experience with a particular focus on automotive, consumer and industrial products, retail and software and technology (SaaS). He also serves as guest lecturer in Corporate Finance at Hochschule Ludwigshafen.
