Dr Gregor Weimer - Lawyer, Tax Adviser, German Public Auditor and Specialised Tax Lawyer
Dr Gregor Weimer is a lawyer, tax adviser, German Public Auditor as well as a specialised tax lawyer and works as a partner in the Tax department in Berlin. He has many years of experience in providing legal and tax advice to corporate groups and medium-sized companies, advising them not only on day-to-day tax challenges but also on financing, restructuring, M&A transactions, and cooperation models.
In addition to advising banks, (institutional) investors and private equity firms, a key area of focus is the provision of advisory services to private-sector and public-sector organisations operating in the energy and infrastructure sectors, including municipal utilities, energy providers, energy-intensive industries and investment holding companies.
He regularly gives lectures and publishes articles on legal and tax issues, often with reference to energy and infrastructure topics. Before joining Grant Thornton, Dr Gregor Weimer worked for a Big Four company, a leading law firm for the energy and infrastructure sector and a Next Ten company.
