Grant Thornton advises Jacto on the acquisition of Solo Kleinmotoren and five other international companies from the group

Stuttgart/ Cologne/ Düsseldorf, 7. July 2025

MÁQUINAS AGRÍCOLAS JACTO S.A. is taking over Solo Kleinmotoren GmbH and five other companies in the USA, New Zealand, China and Chile. The globally active company is thus expanding its product portfolio and its influence on the international market.

A team from Grant Thornton Germany, consisting of specialists from various fields and led by partners Harald Weiß (financial), Dr. Stefan Hahn and Torben Schlitt (both tax) and Dr. Mathias Reif (legal), provided JACTO with comprehensive support throughout the entire complex transaction process, which involved 11 jurisdictions. The global advice covered the areas of finance, tax and legal and extended from the preparation of the due diligence reports to the contract negotiations and the successful completion of the transaction.

"Grupo Jacto took the right decision in engaging Grant Thornton to support this first major transaction. GT demonstrated exceptional command over the entire process, delivering with precision, agility, and deep expertise. Working closely with such a high-performing team has been a daily learning experience." (Roger Pampana Nicolau, Governance Director of Grupo Jacto)

JACTO was founded in 1948 and today has factories in Brazil, Argentina and Thailand as well as distribution centres in Mexico and the USA. The company sells its products in over 100 countries and offers a wide range of state-of-the-art equipment for agriculture, including solutions for precision and digital farming.
