Grant Thornton advises Kidde Global Solutions

Kidde Global Solutions (“KGS”) has successfully sold its European Portable Fire Extinguisher business (“GLORIA”), largely comprised of the GLORIA brand, including the associated manufacturing operations in Poland, to the Italian fire protection group ANAF Fire Protection S.p.A. This strategic acquisition enables the ANAF Group to strengthen its capabilities and expertise while expanding its presence in key European markets. The transaction closed in the third quarter of 2026.

An interdisciplinary team from Grant Thornton in Germany, led by partners Dr. Achim Kestler (Transaction Tax, Munich) and Alexander Griesmeier (Transaction Advisory Services, Munich), provided comprehensive support to KGS throughout the transaction, working closely with Grant Thornton teams in the Netherlands, Poland, and the U.S. The scope of services included, in particular, the development of a carve-out concept including support with the Transitional Services Agreements, tax and financial fact books, a tax analysis of the cross-border carve-out structure in Poland, further tax structuring advice, tax support during the tax due diligence phase, advisory services regarding the purchase agreement in close coordination with Grant Thornton USA.
